When I first started playing with Flickr's geoFeed a couple of years aga it worked perfectly in the search field in Google Maps. Then, for a while, it was broken all together until I sent Flickr some emails. They fixed it in terms of placing pins on the map, but now each photo location is listed twice on the left of the window. Is this because of the dual declaration I wonder? I don't know enough about XML to do any trouble shooting.

@Shibin. The short answer is you can't customize the placemarks displayed when plotting a GeoRSS feed. The same goes for KML content unless a custom icon is specified in the .kml file. As I noted (see under Overlaying external content) there are, however, moves afoot to bring this requested feature to the Google Maps API.

I 've created couple of GeoRSS feeds and its working well. Could you please help me , how to create custom colored pointing bubbles for google map with GeoRSS like tags inside KML .

That's right Sten: the Maps API supports both KML and GeoRSS overlays.

This is SO cool! :-) This feature is that the same as the Google Maps API have, allowing for adding external data from a feed.
