We flew over the area after walking it and only then do you realise what a small part of the Park you get to see on the ground. On the ground you can&#039;t appreciate  the &quot;lopped off&quot; look Tongariro itself has, nor get a birds-eye view down Ngauruhoe&#039;s throat.</description>
