However, you are running up against the inconsistencies of rendering HTML on different web browsers and platforms.

For myself, this is what argues against a pure CSS site that lacks tables.  If you look at major sites, such as Apple's own site, tables are rampant in use to insure precise placements.

All these problems have caused me to return to using iBlog's tables as a way to definitely delineate areas of a webpage.</description>
