Combine a PalmOne T3, Ultra-Thin Keyboard, and T610 camera-phone for the ultimate mobile word processor and message centre...

Palm Ultra-Thin Keyboard and T3 in Proporta case

PalmOne sells the Ultra-Thin Keyboard for Palm PDAs with a Universal Connector (58 pounds inc. VAT and delivery from independent online stores). There is also a battery-operated wireless keyboard available, which is compatible with the Tungsten T3 in landscape mode. The Ultra-Thin, however, apparently draws no more power than the on-screen keyboard and side-by-side with the wireless one seems significantly more compact and better made.

Good things come in small packages

There are a number of user reviews on the Web, so I'll only mention that I am impressed by the compact design and the build-quality. And to confirm that it is compatible with a T3 in the Portporta case: it is not any more difficult to mate with the connector in the case than out of it. With Documents To Go (in the box) this combo makes for a pretty capable note-taking device. But pair the T3 and Ultra-Thin Keyboard with a Bluetooth-enabled phone and you've got a great incentive to send longer SMS messages (or MMS/ e-mails with photo attachments if you have a camera-phone, such as the T610).
