The Proporta Aluminium T3 case protects your Palm T3 from knocks and provides storage for SD cards—but it won't fit into Palm's supplied HotSync cradle. Here's a DIY fix...
I sync my Mac and Palm at least once a day. Since the Proporta case has a tight grip on my T3, I didn't want to have to keep taking it out and putting in back in each time. I already owned a Belkin universal USB HotSync and charge cable with car adapter. For stability, this cable has a plastic shelf that helps it sit flush with the Palm posteriorly; this shelf likewise prohibits performing a HotSync or charging the Palm when it is in the Proporta case. But the shelf can be safely removed.

The universal connector end of the cable is held together with to small screws which are easily removed. Use a metal ruler to gouge out a straight line with a craft knife, taking 4-5 mm off the plastic shelf as shown ("cut here"). Once you've made a circumferential groove into the plastic, twist off the end using a pair of pliers then file down any rough edges using a fine metal file (a Leatherman Wave is a great all-in-one tool for the job). Re-assemble the connector end and you can now charge/ Hotsync without taking your T3 out of it's case.
